- Daytime Investigations: Each morning, a broadcast reveals subtle traits that may indicate someone is a Visitor (e.g. flawless teeth, bloodshot eyes). You spend limited energy to examine guests and interrogate them.
- Nighttime Decisions: When the night falls, you must choose which guests to let in—and which to refuse (or eliminate). Let in a real Visitor, and risk death while you sleep; kill a human by mistake, and live with the consequences.
- Energy Management: Your daily actions (investigation, dialogue, rest) all draw from a finite energy pool. You must balance your efforts to avoid exhaustion or poor judgment.
- Branching Narrative & Multiple Endings: The choices you make—who you protect, who you kill, who you refuse—shape different story paths and endings. No two playthroughs are exactly alike.
- Special Events & Threats: Not all night visitors are ordinary. From governmental agents demanding to test guests, to vigilantes, to cultists and forced intruders—all may challenge your authority and morality.
